Rooted in daily observation, memory, and imagination, the works reflect my constant endeavour to express myself through abstraction. The paintings embody an ongoing exploration of Sufi philosophy as an act of deep contemplation and a means of processing the world. At once persistent and emergent, never sure of conclusion, my work leads me on a journey of pure elation, resignation and self-discovery. Using collage elements of different shapes and forms, I construct and deconstruct the shifting hierarchy of signs. This process stirs and invigorates my imagination and gives me energy to surprise myself with something unexpected.
